Mason County Schools provided over 600 backpacks filled with non-perishable food and hygiene items to students across our county. Thank you to all of the volunteers that aided in the packing and distribution of the bags. We would like to thank local farmer, Dan Foglesong, for working with our program to provide more than 300 ears of corn and more than 300 cucumbers! Thanks "a bunch" to the fair for the bunches of bananas, the kids loved these!
Students- Don't forget to stop by your cafes this year for a free breakfast and a free lunch! See you in school and best wishes for a wonderful 2023-2024 school year.

Mason County’s celebration of #DollyDayWV was even better with our special read aloud visitor, Miss West Virginia! Karrington Childress visited to read “Find Fergus” as part of the statewide read aloud celebrating Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Day. As a senior education major at Shepherd University, Miss West Virginia’s platform “Readers are Leaders!” was royal-ly on display to all booth visitors. We loved having Miss West Virginia join us & we thank our communities for giving her such a warm welcome!! #MasonProud #misswestvirginia2023 #Readersareleaders

We had a great turnout for Kid's Day at the Fair. A big shout out to Leon school for helping out today at our Mason County Schools booth. The tattoos were a hit too! #MasonProud
