Mason County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 3, 2026. This is due to continuing issues with icy conditions and possible incoming inclement weather. Please know we have continued to work on the conditions of our school parking lots. We have brought in contractors with heavier equipment to help with the removal. Our maintenance department has worked diligently clearing the parking lots with continuous salting and plowing to ensure everyone’s safety. Custodians and administrators have also been clearing sidewalks. The below freezing temperatures, not having heavy equipment and the lack of availability of salt, have made it very difficult removing the ice. The forecast is also calling for possible freezing rain and/or snow tomorrow . We are working to get the students back in our buildings as soon and as safely as possible. 261 day employees will report on a 2 Hour Delay.
