Mason County Youth Football League is having signups for boys and girls ages 5-12. They will have football and cheerleading. Signup dates for registration are Saturday May 31 and Sunday June 1. Saturday registration from 11:00-1:00 in Point Pleasant at Brielle Rimmey Softball Park (behind Speedway). Saturday registration from 2:00-4:00 at Mason Faith Baptist Church 1174 3rd Street in Mason. Sunday registration at Hannan from 12:00-2:00. Cost is $50 for first child and $40 each for additional children. If you have questions, contact J.D. Thompson at 304-593-4074.

For the 9th month of school, which ran from 4/11-5/15, we would like to recognize Mason County Career Center for having the best attendance rate at the secondary level with a rate of 96.4%. At the elementary level, we would like to recognize Leon Elementary with a rate of 95.4%. Additionally, we’d also like to give a shoutout to Beale Elementary with a rate of 95%. Thank you to our students, families, and staff for showing up and doing your best daily. We appreciate you!
